Welcome to our blog!

Jake and I are excited to be starting our first blog. We decided to create this blog to help keep everyone updated on what's new with Meredith Photography. By frequently posting new photos of our latest shoots, you all can know what we are up to, see our most recent work, and just stay better connected!

Rachel Rocks

I absolutely loved this senior session. Rachel was so great to work with, and I have to admit that I'm totally jealous of her awesome blue eyes. She brought two of her sisters along and they were fabulous assistants!

Rachel brought this hat along for the shoot. Love it.

Kim + Paul Reception

Kimberlee & Paul were actually married in New Jersey, but came back to Utah to have a reception for their family and friends here. I was honored to be asked to be their photographer. They held their reception at the Carmelle Reception Center. It was a great evening. Thanks to Whitney Jenkins for her assistance covering the evening!

I love this series of them walking in the leaves...very appropriate for an October wedding I think!

Love the details
Kim's family performed their song while Kim and Paul danced.

...then everyone joined in

Booked Solid

Just letting everyone know that I'm officially booked for the remainder of the year. My apologies to those I've had to turn away!

Also, for all my clients who have had recent sessions and haven't yet placed your orders, the deadline for all orders (if you'd like them by Christmas) is December 5th. If you order after that, I can't guarantee them to be finished and back to you before Christmas.

Thank you!

Posts coming soon...

I'm swamped! It's definitely been busy around here, which means no time for blogging. Please forgive me while I play the catch-up game and I promise new posts will be coming soon. I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! I know I did.

Brittany & Elias: Wedding Revisted

Brittany & Elias were married in Denver last December, and there ended up being a huge snowstorm that day which prevented their photographer from being there. SAD! So here we are almost a year later. I shot Brittany's sister Corie's engagements and bridals this spring, and was so glad that Brittany contacted me to capture some photos of she and her husband. Why? Well, first, because I think everyone needs photos of themselves and spouse in their gown and suit, and second, because these girls rock in front of the camera. At least I knew that Corie and her now-hubby Matt did, and guessed that Brittany & Elias might too. I was right. They pretty much posed themselves. Gotta love natural talent! :)

Love this shot. Doesn't Brittany remind you of the 1940's film star Veronica Lake?

Loved this sequence of shots

Rich & Jenn

I recently shot my cousin Richard and his awesome fiance Jennifer's engagements. They are such a great couple. They're both a little tall (at least compared to me--I'm short!) so I had to work a little to get the right angle on them (didn't want to be shooting up their noses or anything), but I think we got some great shots. They were so great to work with! I'm bummed I'll be missing their wedding in December, as I'll be in New York. Too bad everyone won't work their plans around my schedule... ;)

Cousins Rule

Check out these cousins. All 17 of them! Jake and I had a great time on this shoot. With so many kids, we definitely had to pull out all the tricks to get smiles out of the smallest ones (i.e. Jake attacking me with the puppets, bribery with treats, making Brahms do tricks etc.). It was pretty funny. All in all though, the kids were great. It had been pouring rain all day and let up just in time for the shoot. Whew! The only bad part was that is was freezing! The kids were troopers though, and did their best to hold still and crank out the smiles. Not an easy feat. :)

Just the girls...
And just the guys...
Each one individually. The cutie in the top left is definitely one of my toughest customers yet in terms of smiling. I think I was only able to crack 2 or 3 half smiles out of her the whole time! I'll have to think up some new tricks for next time...
This little guy cracked me up. He loved hanging out on this couch. No trouble getting him to smile
By the end of the shoot, the smaller kids were worn out. So we did a shot of just the older girls...
