Welcome to our blog!

Jake and I are excited to be starting our first blog. We decided to create this blog to help keep everyone updated on what's new with Meredith Photography. By frequently posting new photos of our latest shoots, you all can know what we are up to, see our most recent work, and just stay better connected!

NEW WEBSITE IS UP!!

Okay, okay, so the new website is up and I'm soo excited! Looking at it this morning, there are already a few things I want to change, but I'll take care of those soon. Everyone check it out and let me know what you think!

Now for the business side of things. With the new website have come some other changes, such as, pricing, proofing, and products, to name a few. I think these new changes will actually benefit the customer a lot more, and will help me run everything more efficiently. I appreciate any and all feedback. Also, what are your thoughts on the blog? I keep debating if I should change it as well. Mainly from a black background to white. Any thoughts?

Thanks everyone!

Fall, Family, and Christmas cards

1. Get on the list
School is back in full swing, and fall is on its way! I'm compiling a list of families that would like their family portraits taken in the fall colors. Since the colors only last for a limited time, and arrive at different times every year (anywhere from mid-september to early october--if there's not an early frost!), it's difficult to set specific appointments right now. In light of that, I'm compiling a list and when the color starts to appear, I will call those on the list in order and set appointments until the leaves disappear! To get your family on the list, just give me a call!

2. Holiday cards
With my new website on the way, I'll now be offering several new products. One of these great products is custom holiday cards! It's never too early to start thinking about them, especially if you are planning on including your fall family portrait on the card. Call or email me if you're interested!

An evening with the Bennetts...

This past Saturday I also had the opportunity to take family portraits of the awesome Bennett family. John and his wife Kelly happen to be cousins of my husband (and I guess me too!), so it was really fun to hang out with them for a bit while I took pictures of them and their adorable kids!

I loved Johnny's big blue eyes!
Everytime I turned the camera on Mike, he'd give the me the fakest smile. It was hilarious. This one turned out pretty cute though.

I loved this b&w shot of Saysha
I also loved this shot of Mike and Steve peeking through the fence at me.

For the last shot, I had the whole family cross the creek so we could get this shot. It was quite a feat getting everyone to the other side! I think it was worth it though. (p.s. thanks to my husband who chased and saved my flip flop after it floated down the creek. you're the best babe!)
Thanks guys! It was fun!

Taylor Family

Last saturday the Taylor family all got together to celebrate their mom's birthday. For her birthday, Rosalind really wanted a family picture while all her children and grandchildren were together, and I was more than happy to oblige. Here they are!

Just the grandkids and grandma
I love this shot of the grandsons all hugging grandma:

Rosalind and her children

...and with their spouses
And a few shots of each of the families...

The brothers...

...And the sisters

For the last shot, everyone wanted to do something crazy. I thought it turned out pretty funny.

Happy birthday Rosalind! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey everybody. Just wanted to announce that I'll have a new website soon! I'm so excited. It's been in the works for a bit now. It's a totally different look, which I've been wanting for a while. The blog might receive a facelift as well. Stay tuned and let me know what you think!

Sarah & Jamis Wed!

Congratulations to Sarah & Jamis who tied the knot on the 16th in Provo, Ut in the LDS temple. Sarah and Jamis actually decided they wanted to take the bulk of their pictures a week or so before their wedding day so they could just relax and enjoy the day itself. I'm so glad they did because it was really fun to be able to shoot without any sort of schedule, and both Sarah and Jamis were really relaxed. I was excited to take their pictures since 1) Sarah is a friend of mine, and 2) they were getting married in the Provo temple, a location at which I hadn't yet had the pleasure of photographing. They've done a ton of renovations on the temple's ground, and the day of the shoot, the lighting was awesome and the flowers were amazing.

I love Sarah's blue eyes.

Jamis will probably kill me for this one since his feet look so huge, but I like the shot. Sorry Jamis!
