Las Vegas Baby

Or should I say babies? I took a trip to Vegas this past weekend with my mother-in-law and sisters-in law for a little girls trip (well, almost girls trip...I do acknowledge you're not a girl Scott, and neither are any of the babies!). My sis-in-law Connie (who lives in Texas) was heading up to vegas with her boys and husband for her husband's chiropractic convention. Since she just had her second son in December, and we hadn't met him yet, we (me, mom-in-law Mary, sis-in-law Ashlee and her son Daxton) thought we'd drive down and meet them there.

We made quite the entourage as we cruised the strip with two strollers, three kids, and pregnant ol' me. I think I may have walked just a little too much because I was DEFINITELY feeling the consequences yesterday, but we still had a great time.

The first night we went on a little walk down the strip before dinner. Here's Jackson with his new fake smile.
And now his CRAZY eyes (looks like Mary's sportin them too...)
The girls
Fitting in the car was quite the feat. This shot just doesn't quite show how crammed in there we all were.
Bad lighting, but no one cares about that but me, right?
My brother Dave and his wife and baby were also down there that weekend for Dave's business trip, so I hooked up with them one of the nights. Here's Easton playing on the FAO Schwarz piano.

And here's some of Jackson and Daxton having some fun.

I have more pics, but they were taken on my other "real" camera (these were all point and shoot), so I haven't downloaded them yet. I will because I want to post the cute pics I got of my newest nephew Tyson. He's so cute!

Okay, and last but not least, here's couple of pics that Jake snapped the other night with the point and shoot in our dimly lit hallway. They are terrible, but for those of you who are asking for shots of my tummy (ahem, Lindsay), here you go. I'm planning on taking much better ones soon...

One nation under God...

As I said in the previous post, Jake and I spent last weekend in Maryland. Jake's never been to the nation's capital before, so--after the wedding on Thursday and Friday--Jake and I headed to downtown D.C. to see the sites.

First, check out the place where we stayed! This studio apartment was amazing and the family who own it were such gracious hosts.

Don't let this happy little photo fool you. I'm reluctant to admit that driving in places I'm not familiar with stresses me out, but since I have a young husband (okay, only a year and half younger, but still not old enough to rent a car!!) I was forced to drive. Luckily we had a GPS!

Right as this nice stranger snapped this photo of us, the sun came out from behind the clouds. Nice squinty eyes.
We had SO much fun. I can't wait to show you the photos from the wedding!

Start spreadin' the news...

Isn't that how that New York song starts? I thought it appropriate since I am at long last (and with some harrassment from a few friends that I don't post enough personal stuff on here) posting some pictures from the trip to New York that Jake and I took with his family in December! We went for a week right after Christmas to spend time with Jake's brother (who is at NYU med school out there) and his wife Kara, and to see Kara's show (she is a Rockette). Despite the fact that I came down with the 24 hr. flu while there and had to spend a full day feeling like death in Josh & Kara's apartment while everyone else enjoyed the sites, we had a great time. It was so fun to FINALLY see the big apple!

Rainy day in Central Park:

Good ol' lady liberty
Here's a few from Kara's show. Check out those kicks! Kara is the one dead center.
Great job ladies! The show really is awesome
Jake+me backstage with one of the show's props. Yep, they have a live camel in the show
Here's the fam onstage with Kara afterwards. And yes, I'm the idiot doing the "rockette" pose being assured all the while that everyone was else was as well. Don't I look like a midget next to Kara?
Outside Radio City
At Rockerfeller (sp?) Center
The infamous tree
Awesome view from the Top of the Rock
Vintage landscape I created of the Empire State Building
Everyone (minus my mother-in-law who is taking the shot) on top of the rock

It really was a great trip! I'll soon be posting images from mine & jake's trip to Hawaii too. Stay tuned!

Oshkosh 2007

Whew! It's been a busy summer. I'm WAY behind on my posts. Sorry! Here are the promised photos from the Oshkosh AirVenture Airshow:

The new Sportcopter was a big hit at the show. And it's no surprise why. It's AWESOME!
Here's the AirGyro and Rotary Engine booths. There was so much foot traffic around their booths the grass was pretty much gone by the end of the show!
Here's a shot of one of the rotary engines:

Also at the show: old war planes. Here's a few of my favorites.
(Yes, I'm a dork)

There were also airshows going on all week. It's pretty crazy what these pilots can do in the air!

Here's one of the pilots.
And my favorite formation: (it takes two planes to make this one)
That's just a few highlights. If you're a plane enthusiast, you should definitely make the trip to this show. Even for one like me who doesn't know much, it was still fun! And be sure to check out AirGyro Aviation.

Stay tuned for a wedding and some bridals to be posted soon!
